The last time our flagship fundamental course Hou2touch was opened to study with curatorial support in June. Those who managed to enroll have delved into procedural thinking in TouchDesigner and Sidefx Houdini.
Since then, we deliberately have not collected a new group, improving the course and approach:
- We added new videos to where in our opinion we could reveal the topic of the lesson more fully
- We rewrote homework, fostering more emphasis on project work
- We improved the methodology - now it is maximally focused on the visible result of the student

Intro to Procedural Thinking
In this lesson, we explore the principles of Occam's Razor and “Divide & Conquer” in the context of generative graphics programming.
They highlight the importance of precise task definition and parameter manipulation in visual programming environments like TouchDesigner and Houdini.
We also introduce the Model-View-Controller paradigm applied to modular architecture as a basis for proceduralism and procedural thinking
